Municipal sports complexes undergo infrastructure upgrades in Argentina and Spain

Municipal sports facilities in Argentina and Spain are undergoing significant infrastructure upgrades. In La Rioja, Argentina, the electrical company EDELAR has completed a modernization project at the ‘Carlos Saúl Menem’ Municipal Sports Complex. The work included installing two intelligent panels, 54 LED screens, 19 high-power reflectors, and 30 warehouse lamps, supported by 500 meters of new cabling. The project aims to improve safety and enable nighttime sports activities for over 800 competitors and 200 workers.

In Derio, Spain, the local government has launched a tender for the first phase of a major renovation and expansion of its municipal sports center. With a budget of approximately 1.98 million euros, the project focuses on improving the main entrance, accessibility, and energy efficiency. The works include structural reinforcements, facade renovations, and upgrades to electrical, sanitation, and climate control systems. Bids for the contract are being accepted until September 15, with an expected execution period of 36 weeks once awarded.
