Municipal traffic light upgrades debut in San Javier, Chile and Cancun, Mexico

In San Javier, Chile, a new signalized intersection at Avenida Chorrillos Sur and calle Nueva was opened to address heavy traffic volumes of more than 1,500 vehicles during peak hours. The project, backed by the regional transport authority and the municipal mayor, adds pedestrian‑ and cyclist‑friendly features and connects the growing urban area with neighboring communes.

In Cancun, Mexico, the municipal president inspected recently completed safe pedestrian crossings and modernized traffic‑light systems at the intersections of Av. 135 & Mallorca and Av. Chac Mool & Politécnico. The upgrades include geometric improvements, concrete sidewalks, accessibility ramps and updated signaling, serving roughly 45,000 local residents and aiming to enhance overall mobility and safety.
