Municipal updates in Frauenfeld and Oldenburg city councils

In Frauenfeld, Switzerland, the City Council has responded to feedback regarding the municipal structural plan. Following 56 submissions from various stakeholders, including regional trade and industry associations, the council announced it will reconsider and correct the planning for the Ringstrasse. The council also stated it is seriously reviewing objections concerning the revitalization of the city center, noting that the structural plan and city center projects are distinct processes at different stages of decision-making.

In Oldenburg, Germany, the official results of the City Council election have been finalized. The new council will consist of 52 elected members, plus the Lord Mayor. The Green Party remains the strongest force with 13 seats, followed by the SPD with 12. The CDU, the Left Party, and the AfD also secured seats. Notably, Christoph Baak, who was directly elected, has announced he will leave the CDU faction to sit as an independent member. A runoff election to determine the Lord Mayor between Ulf Prange (SPD) and Jascha Rohr (Greens) is scheduled for September 27.
