Municipal worker dies in garbage truck accident in Robles

A 32-year-old municipal worker, David Manuel Tejeda, died following a tragic accident at a landfill in the Robles department of Santiago del Estero, Argentina. The incident occurred around 9:30 AM at the 'Basural de Ruiz' in the Mistol area while workers were unloading waste.

According to reports, the accident happened during the closing of a Volkswagen Robust garbage truck's compactor mechanism. Although colleagues shouted for Tejeda to move away from the rear of the vehicle, he became trapped in the compactor system. Emergency responders and medical personnel from Fernández arrived at the scene but confirmed that Tejeda had already passed away.
