Municipal workers in Viedma and Necochea agree to staggered salary increases

Municipal workers in Viedma and Necochea have reached agreements regarding staggered salary increases for the upcoming months.

In Viedma, the local government and unions, including Soyem, UPCN, and ATE, agreed to updates for August, September, and October. These increases are linked to inflation (IPC) and will be applied automatically and cumulatively to basic salaries and teaching hours. Additionally, functional bonuses will follow the same update pattern, and the General Municipal Bonus will increase by 0.5 percentage points in August and an additional percentage point in October.

In Necochea, municipal workers approved a proposal for staggered raises consisting of 3% increases in August, September, and October, followed by an 8% increase in January 2027. During the assembly, workers also requested that future budgets consider increasing the work week from 30 to 40 hours for staff currently on reduced schedules. Parity negotiations are scheduled to resume in March 2027.
