Municipalities announce sports facility renovations in Mexico and Chile
In Ciudad Fernández, Mayor Rodolfo Loredo Hernández attended the 45th anniversary of the Centro de Estudios Tecnológicos Industrial y de Servicios (CETis) 106. During the event, the mayor pledged to support the remodeling of the school's basketball court following a request from a student, aiming to improve sports facilities and student well-being.
In La Cruz, the Municipal Council unanimously approved a $72 million project to renovate the Villa El Bosque multi-sport court. The project, funded by the Subsecretaría de Desarrollo Regional y Administrativo (Subdere), includes installing a new asphalt surface, high-resistance perimeter fencing, and equipment for soccer, basketball, and volleyball. The renovation also features a new LED lighting system to allow for nighttime use. Mayor Filomena Navia noted that a second stage is being planned to roof the facility for year-round use.
