Municipalities host dance events for Pink October health awareness

Local governments in Palmas and Barueri have organized community dance events to support the Pink October campaign, focusing on women's health and cancer prevention.

In Palmas, the Zumba Rosa event held at the Jardim Taquari Covered Fair integrated physical activity with educational lectures. The program addressed the prevention of breast and cervical cancer, social vulnerability, and domestic violence. Officials emphasized the importance of connecting municipal services with local neighborhoods to promote self-care and emotional support.

In Barueri, the Balada Rosa event took place at the José Corrêa Gymnasium, bringing together students from various sports centers. The initiative used music and aerobic exercises to encourage healthy lifestyles while reinforcing the necessity of early diagnosis and self-care for breast cancer.
