Municipalities implement local service and land title initiatives

In Argentina, the Provincial Institute of Urban Development and Housing (IPDUV) has launched a territorial operation in the Independencia neighborhood of Resistencia. The initiative aims to assist families in regularizing their property titles, particularly for historic homes built through mutual aid systems that may be over 50 years old. Mauro Ferrero, Director of Adjudications at IPDUV, stated that the goal is to facilitate home adjudication so residents can eventually obtain formal deeds. Similar efforts have been implemented in Castelli and General San Martín.

In Trelew, Argentina, municipal agents are conducting surveys in the Progreso neighborhood to assess local services and collect community feedback. The program promotes the 24-hour Citizen Service Center and provides information on waste collection, street maintenance, and social benefits. Agents use QR-coded credentials to ensure security and transparency during household visits.

In Spain, the Albacete City Council is resuming its ‘City Hall in Your Neighborhood’ program. Following the summer period, council members will visit various sociocultural centers and rural districts once a month to meet with citizens without prior appointments. The program is designed to foster direct democracy and transparency by allowing residents to voice demands and participate in municipal management.
