Municipalities implement road infrastructure improvements

Municipalities in Colombia and Spain are implementing local infrastructure projects to improve urban mobility.

In Tulcán, Colombia, the local government has completed a paving project on Lacalle La Solidaridad in the Santa Rosa de Taques neighborhood. The $80,000 investment included the installation of cobblestones, the renewal of the potable water network, and the construction of curbs over a 225-meter stretch. This work is part of a larger municipal program aiming to complete 81 paving projects across the canton.

In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain, the City Council is beginning a €230,000 asphalt resurfacing project on Calle Simón Bolívar. The works will be carried out in four phases over two weeks, starting August 17. The project will involve temporary traffic diversions and the suspension of street parking to facilitate the improvements.
