Municipalities in Argentina and Mexico announce new road infrastructure projects
Municipalities in Argentina and Mexico have announced significant infrastructure projects aimed at improving urban mobility and local road conditions.
In Olavarría, Argentina, the local government has launched a tender for the first stage of articulated pavement construction in the Lourdes neighborhood. The project, estimated at approximately 494.5 million pesos, involves installing over 4,300 square meters of interlocking cobblestones on Merlo, Grimaldi, and Fassina streets. The work includes repairing curbs and gutters and is expected to be completed within 120 days, aiming to improve water drainage and resident quality of life.
In Chihuahua, Mexico, the Finance and Planning Commission approved a multi-year contract for the first stage of the Luis H. Álvarez Boulevard construction. This 1.67-kilometer stretch, located between Avenida Cantera and Avenida Misión del Bosque, requires a 150 million peso investment. The funding will be split equally between the state and municipal governments, with 75 million pesos each. Construction is scheduled to run from December 2026 to August 2027.
