Municipalities in Argentina launch community service programs
Local governments in Argentina are implementing mobile service programs to bring administrative and social assistance directly to residential neighborhoods.
In Buenos Aires, the ‘Mas Servicios en tu barrio’ initiative will operate during the final week of October across various locations, including Villa Lugano, Palermo, Villa Ortúzar, Balvanera, and San Cristóbal. Services offered include social assistance, legal advice, consumer defense, and assistance with government procedures such as Agip, Anses, and SUBE. The program also provides healthcare services like ophthalmology, dentistry, and vaccinations, as well as veterinary services including animal vaccinations and neutering.
In Olavarría, the ‘Barrio por Barrio’ program will visit the El Progreso neighborhood on Wednesday, October 28. Municipal teams will conduct tours through El Progreso, 12 de Octubre, René Favaloro, and Ruta 60 to facilitate direct access to social development, health, employment, and consumer defense services. The initiative also involves public utility companies, such as Transporte Malvinas and Coopelectric, to perform maintenance work alongside municipal staff.
