Municipalities in Badajoz and Huelva announce tax payment deadlines

Municipalities in Spain have announced updated voluntary payment periods for various local taxes and fees.

In Badajoz, the Organismo Autónomo de Recaudación (OAR) of the Diputación de Badajoz has opened the voluntary payment period for the 2026 Economic Activities Tax (IAE). This period runs from September 15 until November 16. Taxpayers can pay via bank direct debit, electronic payment letters, or through digital channels such as the OAR Virtual Office, mobile app, or Bizum.

In Huelva, the City Council has extended the voluntary payment period for municipal taxes and fees until November 30. This extension aims to provide greater ease for taxpayers and align more closely with the provincial tax calendar. The deadline applies to several concepts, including the tax on mechanical traction vehicles, urban and rural real estate taxes (IBI), and various fees related to public space occupation, parking, and municipal services.
