Municipalities in Bahía Blanca and San Fernando advance urban and sanitary projects
In Bahía Blanca, Mayor Federico Susbielles presented progress on a new Urban Planning Code. The initiative is the result of two years of collaborative work involving over 285 institutions, including professional colleges, developers, and academic sectors. This marks the first comprehensive update to the city's planning framework in over 35 years, replacing the previous code from 1991 to better meet modern urban needs. The project will be sent to the City Council next week for analysis and potential approval.
In San Fernando, Mayor Pablo Silva Pérez announced that the final land easement required for the Puente Negro sewerage project has been registered following an expropriation process. This milestone allows the project to move toward the financing stage for its second phase. The project must now be presented to the Regional Council (CORE) for resource approval. The mayor noted that previous political delays in funding may push project execution as late as the end of 2027.
