Municipalities in Brazil announce teacher recruitment processes

The municipality of São José do Jacuípe in Bahia has released a public notice for 52 temporary teaching positions. Organized by Planejar Concursos, the selection process offers contracts of up to 12 months, extendable to 24 months, with a 20-hour weekly workload and compensation based on the national teaching floor.

Available roles include pedagogues for early childhood and primary education, as well as specialists in sciences, letters, mathematics, physical education, and visual arts. Applications are open from October 22 to November 2, 2026, via the Planejar Concursos website, with a registration fee of R$ 100. Selection will involve written exams and title analysis.

In Abaeté, the municipal government has also issued a notice for the temporary designation of an Elementary School I teacher. The contract is scheduled for a 25-hour weekly workload from September 23 to December 18, 2026, at E. M. Nossa Senhora de Fátima.
