Várzea Grande implements local education, training, and infrastructure initiatives

The municipality of Várzea Grande is implementing several local initiatives focused on education, professional development, and infrastructure maintenance.

In partnership with Univag and Setasc, the city has opened 4,000 vacancies for 13 free distance learning (EAD) professional training courses. These 60-hour courses cover various sectors, including digital marketing, culinary arts, and beauty techniques, aimed at increasing employment opportunities in Mato Grosso.

Additionally, the Secretary of Education, Maria Fernanda Figueiredo, has been overseeing the delivery of fresh produce to municipal schools and early childhood education centers to ensure nutritional quality for students.

Infrastructure efforts are also underway, with the Municipal Secretariat of Roads and Works conducting road maintenance, including pothole repairs, grading, and drainage system upkeep across several neighborhoods to improve urban safety and quality of life.
