Municipalities in Brazil implement administrative changes

Several Brazilian municipalities have announced administrative changes to their local governments. In Gandu, Robson de Lima, known as Binho de Carminha, is stepping down from his position as Secretary of Sports, Leisure, Culture, and Tourism after nearly ten years in the role. While his specific new function within the municipal government has not yet been disclosed, Mayor Daiana Santana confirmed he will remain part of the administration. Former councilman Gil Santana, previously the director of leisure, will succeed him.

In Campos, Mayor Frederico Paes has implemented a restructuring of the municipal administration to bolster economic development and investment attraction. Key changes include the appointment of Geraldo Coutinho as Special Advisor for Structural Development and Luiz Mário Concebida as Executive Advisor for Projects. Additionally, Felipe Knust has been promoted to Secretary of Economic Development, with businessman Edmar Ptak serving as Undersecretary. These reorganizations aim to support strategic projects such as the Special Business Zone (ZEN) and the Export Processing Zone (ZPE) without increasing municipal expenses.
