Municipalities in Brazil implement various educational infrastructure improvements
Several Brazilian municipalities are advancing educational infrastructure through renovations, new constructions, and specialized equipment.
In Cuiabá, the CEIC Santa Inês underwent a R$ 3.3 million renovation, featuring modernized facilities, improved accessibility, and a specialized EPDM rubber playground. The unit is expected to expand its capacity to 352 children next year. In Várzea Grande, new dining halls are being constructed at the Antônio Norberto de Barros Corrêa Filho and João Ribeiro Filho centers to improve student well-being.
In Itabuna, Mayor Augusto Castro authorized the demolition of the Flávio Simões Municipal School to make way for a modern educational complex. The project involves an investment of over R$ 13 million from state and municipal resources. Meanwhile, São Gonçalo has introduced ten 'Mattecas'—mobile laboratories equipped with digital resources and games—to enhance mathematics teaching following a methodology from Singapore.
In Resende, the Favo de Mel Municipal Daycare was expanded and revitalized. Improvements included climate control installation, new electrical and hydraulic systems, and the creation of dedicated play areas and a toy library.
