Municipalities in Brazil launch new educational infrastructure projects

In São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro, the municipal government has introduced ten 'Mattecas', which are mobile laboratories designed to enhance mathematics education for elementary and middle school students. These mobile units contain games, digital resources such as notebooks and drawing tablets, and manipulative materials. The methodology is based on models from Singapore and aims to provide practical and playful learning experiences aligned with national curriculum standards.

In Itabuna, Bahia, Mayor Augusto Castro has authorized the demolition and reconstruction of the Flávio Simões Municipal School. The project, part of a partnership with the state government, involves an investment of over R$ 13 million. The initiative aims to create a modern educational complex that will include two schools in a two-story facility, providing more vacancies for fundamental and secondary education in the California neighborhood.
