Municipalities in Brazil open recruitment for Civil Guard positions

Municipalities in Brazil are opening public recruitment processes for their respective Municipal Civil Guards (GCM).

In Itanhaém, São Paulo, applications for the GCM are open until September 29, 2026, through the Instituto Nosso Rumo. The competition offers 20 immediate vacancies plus a reserve list. Candidates with a high school education and a category B driver's license can earn a total monthly salary of up to R$ 4,525.40, which includes a 70% special work regime gratification. Requirements include a minimum age of 18 and specific height requirements for men and women.

In Salvador, the city is offering 50 immediate vacancies for the GCM, with registration open until October 30, 2026. Organized by the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), the selection process includes an objective exam, a physical fitness test (TAF), and a psychological evaluation. Candidates must have completed high school to participate.
