Municipalities in Brossard and Chazelles-sur-Lyon renovate public parks

In Brossard, Canada, Mayor Doreen Assaad and municipal officials inaugurated the redesigned Maupassant Park on August 21. The project, which cost $2.15 million, features an astronomy theme and includes two distinct play areas for children aged 18 months to 12 years. The upgrades also introduced a relaxation area, a solar shelter, new furniture, a drinking fountain, and improved landscaping with new trees and shrubs.

In Chazelles-sur-Lyon, France, the municipality is undergoing a rehabilitation project to redesign the town hall forecourt and the municipal park. The initiative aims to improve accessibility for seniors, families with strollers, and people with reduced mobility. The park redevelopment will focus on increasing greenery, expanding children's play areas, and creating intergenerational social spaces. This project is being funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (FEADER) through the LEADER program.
