Municipalities in Chile and Bolivia launch initiatives for senior citizens

Local authorities in Paihuano, Chile, and Oruro, Bolivia, are implementing various initiatives to support and celebrate senior citizens.

In Paihuano, Mayor Hernán Ahumada met with representatives from local elderly associations, including the Cielo Claro Senior Club, to coordinate upcoming activities. The meeting focused on strengthening municipal support and planning events for the upcoming Month of the Senior Citizen to promote social participation and well-being.

In Oruro, celebrations for the Day of Dignity for the Elderly featured a Comprehensive Health Fair and the first Departmental Games for Seniors. These events provided medical attention, nutritional guidance, and wellness workshops, alongside recreational and sporting activities designed to promote active social engagement and health.
