Municipalities in Chile distribute grants to local organizations
The municipality of Huara has awarded grants to 22 social organizations to fund various community initiatives. These resources are intended for neighborhood associations, cultural groups, indigenous communities, sports clubs, and senior citizen organizations. Projects include purchasing equipment for community kitchens, technological updates for cultural groups, and supporting recreational activities.
In Punta Arenas, the local government has provided new subsidies to 11 organizations, bringing the total number of beneficiary groups to 155 for the year. Mayor Claudio Radonich noted that the municipality has increased available funds on two occasions to expand coverage. The grants support diverse sectors, including cultural, social, and sporting groups, with an emphasis on maintaining transparency in the application and reporting processes.
