Municipalities in Concordia and Chihuahua advance infrastructure works
Local governments in Concordia and Chihuahua are undertaking significant infrastructure improvements to enhance urban mobility.
In Concordia, Mayor Francisco Azcué and Public Works Secretary Fernando Esquibel are overseeing pothole repair and paving works on Avenida Rucci. This artery serves as a vital connection between the urban center and the Benito Legerén neighborhood, while also functioning as part of the southern industrial corridor. The municipality is utilizing its own asphalt production to ensure durability against heavy vehicle traffic. Future paving projects are also planned for Villa Adela.
In Chihuahua, Mayor Marco Bonilla is supervising the construction of a new interchange at the intersection of Teófilo Borunda and Periférico de la Juventud. The project, which is approximately 40 percent complete, involves the installation of massive steel structures, including a 230-ton northern support. The new interchange aims to alleviate traffic congestion in this critical area of the capital city.
