Municipalities in France manage sports facility renovations
Municipalities in France are managing different stages of sports facility upgrades. In Collonges-au-Mont-d'Or, the local sports hall has reopened following the installation of a new floor. The renovation was undertaken to replace the previous surface, which had been in use since 2015 and showed signs of peeling that posed safety risks. The new flooring was selected for its durability, rebound qualities, and suitability for various sporting activities.
In contrast, the Marly sports hall in Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët is facing delays. The current municipal administration has suspended a previous study intended to address roof leaks and waterproofing issues, citing high costs. Local officials are now evaluating whether to proceed with a comprehensive renovation of the 40-year-old building or to pursue the construction of an entirely new facility.
