Municipalities in Galicia approve local infrastructure and reconstruction projects

The Redondela City Council has approved a 138,000 euro project to pave and improve the Subida a Trasmañó. The intervention will renovate over 530 meters of road, covering 4,643 square meters. The works aim to resolve water infiltration and road wear by installing a new rainwater collection network with PVC pipes and concrete drainage ditches, alongside a new road surface layer.

In Meis, the City Council has awarded a 30,000 euro contract to Construganon for the reconstruction of the Aldea Labrega washhouse. The structure was destroyed by a falling tree during winter storms. The project aims to replicate the original design as closely as possible, despite a lack of historical documentation or surviving materials like roof tiles, which were stolen following the incident.
