Municipalities in Honduras and Dominican Republic implement road improvements

The Central District Municipal Mayor's Office (AMDC) in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, has reached 95% completion in the road rehabilitation of the Kennedy colony. The project involves an estimated investment of 85.1 million lempiras to rehabilitate approximately 46,100 square meters of asphalt surface. Using specialized machinery to recycle existing pavement, the works aim to benefit roughly 200,000 residents. Remaining tasks include work on secondary streets and alleys, followed by horizontal signaling of approximately five kilometers of roads, though recent rains have delayed painting efforts.

In Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, the local City Council has resumed road signaling works within the city's historic center. Directed by Mayor Diomedes Roque García, municipal brigades are painting and marking key intersections and streets, including 12 de Julio, Beller, Separación, and Padre Castellanos. The program includes installing horizontal signals such as one-way indicators, no-parking zones, and stop signs to improve traffic organization and safety for residents and tourists.
