Santiago del Estero inaugurates renovated Las Casuarinas camping

Mayor Norma Fuentes has officially inaugurated the comprehensive remodeling of the Las Casuarinas camping area within Parque Aguirre. The two-and-a-half-hectare recreational site has been upgraded to serve both local residents and tourists.

Key improvements include a fenced swimming pool area featuring a children's pool with water games, ten fully equipped barbecue pavilions (quinchos), and a climate-controlled hall capable of hosting 80 people. The facility also offers camping zones for approximately 180 to 200 tents, motorhome spaces, and dedicated parking.

To promote physical activity, the renovation added 3x3 basketball courts, a healthy plaza with gym equipment, and various children's play areas with rubber surfacing. The project aims to strengthen the city's sports corridor and provide high-quality public spaces for community gathering.
