Municipalities implement urban sanitation and green space maintenance initiatives

Municipalities across Latin America are implementing various initiatives to improve urban sanitation, waste management, and the maintenance of public green spaces.

In Argentina, the Municipality of La Granja launched a new recycling point in Ascochinga to strengthen waste treatment, while Rosario has conducted extensive cleaning and landscaping operations in the Costa Alta and Paseo del Caminante areas, including tree planting and lighting repairs.

In Chile, Alto Hospicio approved over 433 million pesos for vehicle rentals to support cleaning and green area crews, and Arica has modernized its fleet with a 2.2 billion peso investment by Norte Verde to maintain public spaces.

In Bolivia, the La Paz Mayor's Office has deployed its own machinery to collect accumulated waste following service interruptions by the contractor La Paz Limpia.

In Mexico, Villa de Pozos performed maintenance and cleaning in school green areas to prepare for the new school year. Meanwhile, in Vietnam, local authorities in Pasto reached an agreement with the company Veolia to restore waste collection services in rural districts like San Fernando and Cabrera.
