Municipalities in Ruma and Višegrad manage local budget allocations

In Ruma, Serbia, the municipal assembly reviewed the budget execution report for the first half of the year. Biljana Damljanović, head of the Department for Finance, Economy, and Agriculture, reported that revenues reached over 1.6 billion dinars, representing 41 percent of the annual plan. Expenditures exceeded 1.8 billion dinars, also accounting for 41.3 percent of the plan. The municipality prioritized the completion and continuation of capital projects, which led to expenditures exceeding current revenues by approximately 202 million dinars. This deficit was covered by unused funds carried over from the previous year to ensure liquidity without creating new obligations.

In Višegrad, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mayor Mladen Đurević signed project financing agreements with six non-governmental organizations and associations. A total of 30,000 KM was allocated from the municipal budget to support local community activities. Recipients include the “Želje” Association for Handicapped Children, the “Most” Women’s Association, a beekeepers' association, a guslar association, the “Bubamara” sports school, and the “Eko centar” citizens' association. The funding aims to improve the quality of life for citizens through various social, health, and community-focused projects.
