Municipalities in Spain and Argentina face housing and utility challenges

In Tacoronte, Spain, the political group Somos Tacoronte has criticized local leadership for a lack of public housing initiatives. Representatives Carlos Medina and Sandra Ramos accused Tarsis Morales of failing to implement a municipal strategy to acquire land for protected housing despite the municipality having approximately 60 million euros in surplus funds. They noted that neighboring municipalities in Tenerife have already taken steps to provide land for public housing developments.

In Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina, the municipal government has filed a formal complaint with the National Electricity and Gas Regulatory Agency (ENARGAS) regarding rising gas transport costs. Local officials estimate that residential bills could increase by an average of 15%, with some reaching between $150,000 and $250,000. The municipality is seeking to audit calculation methods and manage potential refunds for consumers.
