Municipalities in Sweden and Finland launch citizen welfare surveys

The Swedish municipality of Dals-Ed has launched its 2026 citizen survey in collaboration with Statistics Sweden (SCB). The survey aims to gather feedback from 1,000 selected residents regarding their satisfaction with local services, including schools, elderly care, infrastructure, and communication. The data is intended to help the municipality improve service delivery and understand resident perceptions of life in the area.

In Finland, the municipality of Kirkkonummi is conducting a welfare and security survey between August 26 and September 17, 2026. This initiative seeks to map residents' experiences with daily life, welfare, and safety to inform the municipal strategy and the 2026–2030 welfare plan. Previous survey results in Kirkkonummi have led to improvements in traffic safety and housing advisory services.
