Water and sanitation infrastructure projects underway in Spain and Venezuela

Various municipalities in Spain and Venezuela are implementing infrastructure projects and maintenance campaigns to improve water supply, sanitation, and drainage systems.

In Spain, several regions are preparing for autumn rains. Huelva and Almería are conducting extensive cleaning of drainage networks and storm drains to prevent flooding. In Málaga, a significant investment plan is underway to upgrade urban drainage and separate sewage from rainwater. Other local efforts include maintenance on the Avenida de Bilbao in Camargo and the cleaning of the Ribalta park pond in Castellón.

Additionally, the Diputación de Almería has approved over one million euros for water supply and sanitation upgrades in Uleila del Campo, Rioja, and Turre. In El Ejido, desalination water works have reached 85% completion, a 15.6 million euro project aimed at increasing water security.

In Venezuela, authorities in Falcón are addressing long-standing public service issues. In the Miranda municipality, Hidroven and the local government have performed maintenance and collector replacements in Coro, benefiting over 1,000 families. In the Falcón municipality, officials report the rehabilitation of 12 pumping stations to improve water distribution to local communities.
