Municipalities launch road resurfacing and infrastructure projects
Municipalities in Spain are launching significant road infrastructure projects to improve urban mobility and road safety.
In San Bartolomé de Tirajana, the local government has begun resurfacing approximately ten streets in San Fernando de Maspalomas. Following the completion of works in El Tablero, the program is moving through streets such as Tenteninguada, Tinoca, and San Nicolás de Tolentino. The plan also includes the Plaza de Timanfaya, the Yumbo Shopping Center parking lot, and areas near the San Fernando Cultural Center and the Varadero Shopping Center in Meloneras. Local authorities have requested resident cooperation due to temporary circulation and parking restrictions.
In Marratxí, the City Council has initiated the 2025-2027 Asphalting Plan with an investment exceeding 2.2 million euros. The project is divided into four lots targeting various municipal areas, including Pont d’Inca, sa Cabana, and the Marratxí industrial estate. This phased approach aims to renew deteriorated road sections and address long-standing community demands for improved road conditions and driver comfort.
