Municipalities prepare for upcoming Christmas festivities

Municipalities in Brazil and Portugal are preparing for upcoming holiday festivities. In São Caetano do Sul, Brazil, the Municipal Secretariat of Culture is organizing Christmas programming by utilizing a continuous registration model for artists. Under a public notice issued in February, artists and cultural professionals can register through the city’s Culture Portal to be considered for various cultural actions through February 2029.

In Oliveira de Azeméis, Portugal, the Christmas season is scheduled to begin on November 27 with an official lighting ceremony. The event will feature a three-to-five-minute fireworks display in the City Square. The municipality has also contracted pyrotechnic services for a ten-minute fireworks show to mark the New Year on December 31.
