Algeria launches major recruitment drives for education and security sectors
Algeria is launching several large-scale recruitment campaigns for the 2026 period across the education and security sectors.
Municipalities (APCs) across the country are preparing to hire full-time contract workers for primary schools and school canteens. These roles focus on maintenance, security, and service sectors to improve student care. The Ministry of the Interior has established standardized quotas for each municipality based on the number of facilities and existing human resources. Candidates for administrative roles in the education sector, including positions such as intendants and school counselors, are currently undergoing dossier verification, with a deadline for contesting results set for August 24.
Additionally, the National Directorate General of Security (DGSN) has announced a national recruitment drive for police officers. This includes competitive exams for various grades and a specialized recruitment for 100 high-level technical positions for officers with Master's degrees in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, and Computer Science.
