Municipality of Bar allocates over 60,000 euros for RE community education
The Municipality of Bar has approved a decision to allocate over 61,000 euros in subsidies to support the education and social inclusion of 159 members of the Roma and Egyptian (RE) communities.
The funding, established under the Local Action Plan for Social Inclusion, covers various educational needs. Specifically, 24,840 euros are designated for school meals for 69 students, while 31,050 euros will cover other schooling costs for another 69 students. Additional funds include 1,260 euros for informal education costs, 1,575 euros for sports club memberships, and one-time grants for school supplies and books for primary and secondary school students.
Through these measures, the local government aims to provide concrete support for education and create equal opportunities for youth within the Roma and Egyptian populations, expanding the spectrum of measures for social equality and inclusion.
