Municipality of Centar opens call for special education assistants

The Municipality of Centar has launched a public call to hire personal assistants for students with special educational needs. This initiative is part of the ‘Education for All’ project, which will be implemented in municipal primary schools during the 2026/2027 school year.

Mayor Goran Gerasimovski stated that the goal is to ensure every child has an equal opportunity to learn and be included in the school environment. The assistants will provide support during the educational process and daily school activities to facilitate easier integration.

Interested applicants must have at least a secondary education and prior experience working with children with special needs. The call specifically targets long-term unemployed individuals, youth under 29, individuals over 50, single parents, and parents of children with disabilities. Preference will be given to candidates with higher education in teaching, psychology, pedagogy, defectology, or social work, as well as those with existing licenses as personal assistants.

Selected candidates will work 20 hours per week for an eight-month period starting in October 2026. The position offers a monthly net compensation of 18,000 denars. Applications must be submitted to the Municipality of Centar-Skopje Archives within five working days of the announcement.
