Municipality of Kozani to employ 127 school cleaners

The Municipality of Kozani has secured the hiring of 127 school cleaners for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year, according to an official decision by the Ministry of Interior. This includes 10 additional hires, bringing the total to 127 personnel.

Notably, 95 of these contracts are for full-time employment, a significant increase from 2023, when only 28 full-time positions existed in the municipality. Through interventions by the local administration, the municipality has also secured 17 new school cleaner positions cumulatively for the years 2024, 2025, and 2026.

Mayor Giannis Kokkiliaris stated that the administration is prioritizing the upgrade of educational services and ensuring job security and stability for staff to maintain hygiene and cleanliness in school units. He expressed gratitude to the Deputy Minister of Interior, Vivi Charalampogianni, for the cooperation.
