Municipality of Lamia to hold 24th Municipal Council session

The Municipal Council of Lamia is scheduled to hold its 24th session on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 19:00. The meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person attendance at the ‘Lambros Papadimas’ Municipal Building and participation via videoconference. The session will also be broadcast live on the Municipality of Lamia’s official YouTube channel.

The agenda includes eight key items, beginning with announcements from Mayor Panourgia N. Papaioannou. Major topics for discussion include the approval of a new Operating Regulation for the Municipal Council based on the Code of Local Self-Government, and the 12th amendment to the 2026 budget and technical program.

Other matters include the approval of excellence awards for students, the use of two private electric buses, the establishment of an advisory committee for social cohesion and equality, and urban planning adjustments regarding specific streets in Lamia. The council will also provide an opinion regarding the abolished Water Supply Association.
