Municipality of Soufli to upgrade school infrastructure

The Municipality of Soufli has signed a contract for the modernization and energy upgrade of the Soufli Junior High School and High School complex. The project has a total budget of €3,662,438.20 and is funded by the ‘Eastern Macedonia, Thrace’ Regional Operational Programme 2021-2027.

The renovation covers approximately 4,000 square meters of building space. Key improvements include thermal insulation, replacement of window frames, and the installation of modern heating and cooling systems. To enhance energy efficiency, the project will include LED lighting with sensors and a 72.36 kW photovoltaic system.

Additional upgrades focus on safety and functionality, such as improved ventilation and air quality monitoring, complete renovation of sanitary facilities, enhanced fire protection, and the installation of a modern facility management system. The initiative aims to provide a safe, modern, and functional learning environment for students and teachers.
