Municipality of Thessaloniki calls for mural artists to join new registry

The Municipality of Thessaloniki, through its Deputy Mayoralty for Culture, Tourism Development, and Intermunicipal Cooperation, has launched an initiative to create an open registry and networking database for mural artists.

The municipality is issuing an open call for expressions of interest to build a professional roster of artists with established careers and documented portfolios. This registry will serve as a primary reference for future public art projects and visual interventions within the urban landscape of Thessaloniki.

Interested artists can submit their CVs, portfolios, and relevant documentation via an electronic form. The application period is scheduled to run from August 25 to September 25, 2026. The initiative aims to strengthen the city's connection to contemporary art, highlight both emerging and established creators, and facilitate long-term planning for public art that contributes to the aesthetic, cultural, and social enhancement of public spaces.
