Munir El Haddadi joins Albacete Balompié

Munir El Haddadi has been officially presented as a new player for Albacete Balompié. The attacker, who previously played for major Spanish clubs and most recently in Iran, described the move as an opportunity to ‘reset’ his career and focus on football with humility and motivation.

His signing process involved a meeting with the club's sporting director, José Verdú ‘Toché’, which helped convince both the player and his family to join the Manchego side. Munir expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and his desire to contribute his experience to the squad.

With Munir's arrival, Albacete now boasts two players with Champions League titles in their careers. Munir won the trophy with Barcelona in 2015, while Jesús Vallejo holds two titles from his time with Real Madrid in 2018 and 2022. This concentration of high-level experience is noted as a significant quality boost for the Segunda División side.
