Munir Neto seeks expedited vote on Motoboy Statute in Alerj

State Deputy Munir Neto met with Douglas Ruas, president of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Alerj), to request the expedited voting of the ‘Estatuto do Motoboy’ (Motoboy Statute) bill.

Authored by Neto, the legislation aims to establish rights, guarantees, and improved working conditions for professional cyclists and motorcyclists throughout the state, including both autonomous workers and those linked to delivery applications. The proposed statute includes provisions for social rights, safety, health, and professional recognition. Key measures include the creation of support points for rest and hygiene, educational campaigns, and priority assistance for physical and psychological rehabilitation in the event of work-related accidents.

Douglas Ruas expressed support for the initiative, stating he intends to place the project on the voting agenda as soon as possible and offered to act as a co-author of the bill.
