Mura eliminated from Slovenian Cup after loss to Beltinci

The opening round of the Slovenian Cup has produced significant upsets, with top-tier clubs exiting the competition early. Mura was eliminated following a 0-1 defeat in a regional derby against second-league side Beltinci. Klemna Mlakar scored the decisive goal in the 12th minute of the match, which was attended by approximately 2,500 to 3,000 spectators.

Mura's exit follows a recent period of poor form, including league losses to Koper and Bravo. This loss marks their third consecutive match without scoring a goal. They join Ljubljana's Olimpija, who were also eliminated in the first round after a heavy defeat in Trbovlje.

Other notable results from the round include Maribor securing a 7-0 victory over Slovenj Gradec, and Radomlje achieving the largest win of the round with an 11-0 scoreline against Šmartno Infostyle. As the competition progresses to the second round, four other Slovenian top-flight clubs will join the remaining participants.
