Turkey schedules extensive electricity outages for early August 2026

Utility companies across Turkey have announced a series of planned power cuts in early August 2026 to carry out network maintenance, line upgrades and transformer work. ADM Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. will cut electricity in several districts of Muğla Province on 3 August, while the same provider will also suspend service in parts of Aydın Province (Bozdoğan, Efeler, Karpuzlu and Kuşadası) on 2 August. Uludağ Elektrik has listed outages for four districts of Bursa (Yıldırım, Gemlik, Yenişehir and Mustafakemalpaşa) on 2 August, and the Nevşehir provincial grid will be offline in selected villages of Alacaşar, Acıgöl, Avanos, Derinkuyu and Ürgüp on 2 August. Ankara’s electricity distributor EDAŞ plans staggered interruptions in Altındağ, Bala, Beypazarı and other neighborhoods from 1 to 5 August. GDZ Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. will affect numerous neighborhoods in İzmir’s districts such as Aliağa, Bergama, Bornova, Buca, Çiğli and Karabağlar on 1 August. Residents in the affected areas have been urged to adjust their schedules and protect electronic devices during the specified hours.
