Murat Ağırel reports targeted social media attacks against his wife

Journalist Murat Ağırel has reported a series of targeted social media attacks against his wife, involving sexist insults and defamatory claims. Ağırel shared screenshots of the posts on X (formerly Twitter) to expose the harassment and has called upon the police to identify the perpetrators.

Ağırel identified an account using the pseudonym ‘Abese İrca’, allegedly operated by Niyazi Canbaz, as a primary source of the attacks. The journalist stated that these incidents are part of a systematic campaign against him following his reporting on the ‘Gökçek file’. He confirmed his intention to file a criminal complaint and expressed hope that law enforcement would locate the individual responsible before legal proceedings begin.
