Murat Dalkılıç reveals ongoing struggle with nasal health after 13 surgeries

Turkish pop singer Murat Dalkılıç has revealed his ongoing struggle with severe nasal health issues that have required 13 surgeries since childhood. The singer explained that his complications began at age seven due to bone growth problems, leading to a loss of cartilage tissue.

During a television appearance on Ceyda Düvenci’s program, Dalkılıç described a particularly difficult period where he contracted an infection during an eleven-and-a-half-hour operation, stating, “I caught an infection in surgery, I had no nose!” He noted that doctors have had to use tissue from other parts of his body, such as his ears and ribs, to attempt to reconstruct his nasal structure.

Despite the numerous procedures, Dalkılıç reported that he still faces breathing difficulties and is preparing for a 14th surgery. He mentioned that neither he nor his doctors are certain when his condition will fully stabilize, and he is currently focusing on maintaining his mental health during the process.
