Murat Öner’s Name Assigned to Manisa Market

At a ceremony in Manisa, Turkey, the Alaybey Pazaryeri market was officially renamed Murat Öner Cumartesi Pazaryeri (also referred to as Murat Öner Market) to honor the late Murat Öner, former Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) provincial chairman.

The event was attended by MHP Manisa provincial chairman Nurullah Savaş, Ülkü Ocakları Manisa leader Emirhan Sallıtepe, Öner’s widow Nevin Öner and son Mehmet Ali Öner, as well as local officials from the AK Party, Yeni Parti and municipal representatives. Savaş offered condolences, and Öner’s family welcomed the tribute, noting the market will continue to serve the community under its new name.
