Murcia and Vega Baja hit by two earthquakes in early morning hours
Two earthquakes struck the Murcia region and the Vega Baja area in Spain during the early hours of Wednesday, September 30. The first tremor, measuring 3.1 magnitude, occurred at 02:04 with an epicenter southeast of Beniel at a depth of approximately 3 kilometers.
A second earthquake, measuring 3.0 magnitude, was recorded at 06:31 near the same location at a depth of 5 kilometers. Both movements were felt in various localities across the Murcia region and the neighboring Alicante province.
According to the Instituto Geográfico Nacional (IGN), no significant damage or relevant consequences have been reported. This seismic activity follows other recent tremors in the area, including a 3.5 magnitude earthquake on September 25 and a 1.6 magnitude tremor on September 26.
