Murcia Archaeological Museum extends ancient wine exhibition

The Archaeological Museum of Murcia has extended its temporary exhibition, ‘Banquetes. Los ritos del vino entre íberos, griegos y romanos’ (Banquets: Wine Rites among Iberians, Greeks, and Romans), until November 22. Originally scheduled to close at the end of the month, the extension follows the exhibition reaching 10,285 visitors.

The display explores the social and symbolic role of wine in antiquity as an element of prestige and identity. Complementary activities have included international congresses, conferences, and wine tastings in collaboration with local denominations of origin such as Bullas, Jumilla, and Yecla.
